Panthers women keep up winning streak

PRATT — Swelling its winning streak to three matches and pulling one match away from a .500 record, the Neosho County Panthers blanked the Pratt Beavers, 2-nil, in KJCCC women’s soccer action on Wednesday.

Neosho County netted both of its goals in the first 20 minutes, with Mia Ferioli (sixth minute) and Freya Stevenson (16th minute) finding the back of the net for the Panthers.

The win moved Neosho County’s record to 5-6-1 overall and 3-4-1 in conference play. The Panthers are currently third in the conference.

Neosho County heads to Johnson County on Saturday before hosting Southeast on Wednesday.
