ARKANSAS CITY — Facing the reigning national champions, the No. 16 Neosho County Panthers fell to the undefeated, No. 1 Cowley Tigers, 3-1 (24-26, 25-19, 25-15, 25-12).
Ella Bryan led the Panthers with 11 kills while Bailey Owens added nine.
Sarah Wehrli racked up 30 assists for Neosho County while Brooke Galey had a dozen digs.
Lana Gomilanovic led Cowley with 17 kills while Ashlynn Jaccard added 15.
Neosho County fell to 16-8 overall and 3-3 in KJCCC play while Cowley improved to 22-0 and 6-0, respectively.
