A ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held to celebrate new ownership and a new era for a local business.
On Thursday, Oct. 9, at Holiday Inn Express, the Chanute Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting for Holiday Inn Express, located at 3401 Blue Comet Drive in Chanute. Staff celebrated with refreshments, tours, and greeting members of the community.
“I’m glad to be part of the team here,” Manager Vickie Taylor said. “It’s been great to have Five Rivers Hospitality as the new owners. They are amazing,” Taylor said.
Taylor also highlighted that there are some new things coming to the property to better serve the community next year. She said announcements of these new amenities will be announced at a later date.
“On behalf of the City of Chanute, I want to thank you all for your continued investment within Chanute,” Mayor Jacob LaRue said during the ceremony As well as to offer the chance for visitors to come to our beautiful city and give our residents a place to stay when they have times of need, too.”
