Chiefs’ Hollywood Brown wasn’t sure what route he was supposed to run on TD catch

PETE GRATHOFF The Kansas City Star

There is another mouth to feed this week for the Chiefs.

You may have noted the Chiefs wide receivers are playfully saying “EGE,” which is short for “Everybody’s Gotta Eat.” And that mantra began with Rashee Rice, who will play his first game of the season Sunday following a suspension.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid was asked about the “EGE” talk, and he quipped: “They don’t worry about that with me.”

Wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown got plenty to eat Sunday in the Chiefs’ 30-17 win over the Lions at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Brown scored a pair of touchdowns, including one when he didn’t know what route he was supposed to run.

The Chiefs shared a video to their X account, and it showed Brown lining up next to receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Brown had a question for his teammate before the snap: What route am I supposed to run?
