Diversicare Healthcare Services celebrates Midwest CNA of the Year

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Diversicare Healthcare Services LLC, proudly hosted its Midwest Certified Nursing Assistant Banquet on Sept. 25, at Terradyne Country Club in Andover, Kansas. This special event recognized CNAs from across Diversicare’s Kansas centers for their unwavering commitment to compassionate care.

This year’s CNA of the Year award went to Raena Smith of Diversicare of Hutchinson. Raena is known for her big heart, positive attitude, and the personal care she gives to every resident. She has a special way of making people feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for — qualities that truly set her apart and embody the spirit of Diversicare. “Our CNAs are the foundation of the care we deliver every day,” said Midwest Regional Vice President Tiffany Perkins. “Raena’s warmth and commitment reflect the very best of our team. We’re grateful for her example and for every CNA who goes above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our residents.”

CNAs were nominated by their individual centers for their dedication, excellence, and the meaningful relationships they foster with patients and residents. Each nominee was invited to attend the banquet, where their contributions were celebrated.

Local nominees from Diversicare of Chanute included: Makenzie Compton, Victoria Robertson, and Summer Likes. Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC provides postacute care services to skilled nursing center patients and residents in five states, primarily in the Southeast, Midwest, and Southwest U.S. As of the date of this release, Diversicare operates 46 locations, including skilled nursing, long-term care facilities, and one behavioral health facility.
