RICHMOND — Falling in their regular season finale, the Humboldt Cubs lost to the Central Heights Vikings, 32-6, on Friday night in Week 8 football action.
Central Heights led, 6-0, at halftime and both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter.
The Vikings broke the game open in the final stanza, outscoring Humboldt, 26-6.
Humboldt quarterback Gavin Gunderman completed 4-of-14 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown along with three interceptions.
Broc Ivy led the Cubs with 64 yards rushing on 12 carries. He also caught two passes for 79 yards and a score.
Kameren McClenning led the Cubs with nine tackles, including one for a loss. Envy Oberbeck, a freshman, added eight stops for Humboldt.
Humboldt fell to 3-5 overall with the loss while Central Heights improved to 2-6.
