The Best Yet 4-H Club held its November meeting Sunday, Nov. 9, in the basement of Home Savings Bank in Chanute. President Ty Kepley called the meeting to order at 4 p.m.
Twenty-five members and two leaders answered roll call by sharing what they are thankful for. Sam read the minutes from the October meeting, which were approved as read. Rylee and Grace gave the treasurer’s and reporter’s reports, and Sam updated members on the recent 4-H Council meeting.
Leader Sarah Schoenecker reminded members about the Achievement Banquet on Nov. 13 and to complete 4-H enrollment by Dec. 1. In new business, members voted to participate in a Model Meeting at 4-H Days on Feb. 7.
The club celebrated November birthdays, and members heard presentations from Cassidy on ethanol production and Rylee on her sewing projects. Following the meeting, members enjoyed refreshments and painted clovers for the club Christmas tree, which will be on display at the Chanute Art Gallery through December.
