NEODESHA — Adam Lane Brooks, 21, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Adam was born Aug. 4, 2004, in Chanute to Kevin Maher and Tiffany Brooks. He was a 2022 graduate of Fredonia High School.
Throughout school, Adam was active in sports. As a senior, he competed in basketball, powerlifting and multiple track and field events, with pole vault being his favorite. He loved the energy and camaraderie of team life, and staying active was simply part of who he was.
After high school, Adam continued his competitive spirit in a local men’s basketball league. He had an adventurous heart and a playful soul — fishing, relaxing with family animals to watch a funny movie, or diving into a new drawing. His artistic talent was unmistakable. Adam also had a strong passion for welding and was continuing his education in diesel mechanics, building a future defined by hard work and determination.
He especially loved game nights. Whether with family, best friends or both, he was often the first to reach for a deck of Uno cards or the dice for Farkle. Adam cherished bringing people together and turning ordinary evenings into lasting memories.
Above all, Adam treasured time with his children, Parker and Presleigh. Being their dad was his greatest joy.
