LARNED — Dolores Jacqueline Morton, 96, passed away Dec. 5, 2025, in Larned, Kansas.
She was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Zurich, Kansas, the daughter of Rudolph and Violet Kaba Novotny. On Sept. 2, 1946, she married Donald Morton in Hoisington. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1999.
Donald and Dolores owned and operated four businesses over a 45-year period, keeping them active throughout their working lives. Dolores had a genuine love for people and enjoyed getting to know everyone she met. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church, where she assisted with the Evangel and volunteered for many years at the church thrift shop.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Dietrich and Kelly (Karl) Moffet, both of Larned; a son, Stan (Kim) Morton of Larned; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Aldrich and Michelle (Toby Hogan) Gordon, both of Larned, Hannah (Travis) Savery of Abilene, and Augie (Nichole) Morton of Lincoln, Nebraska; eight
