Three SEC transfers commit to play for Collin Klein at K-State

Kansas State football coach Collin Klein has found success mining the SEC for incoming talent in the early stages of the 2026 transfer cycle.

A trio of former SEC players have committed to the Wildcats since the portal opened on Friday.

Arkansas defensive back Keshawn Davila was the first to pledge his services to K-State over the weekend. Missouri offensive lineman Keiton Jones and Texas A&M wide receiver Izaiah Williams followed suit on Monday.

All three will arrive in Manhattan with upside, though none of them were able to reach their full potential at their previous schools.

Williams is a 5-foot-11 and 185-pound redshirt freshman who caught nine passes for 86 yards and one touchdown during his time with the Aggies. He has an obvious connection to K-State, as Klein was his offensive coordinator at Texas A&M.

The Wildcats need to add talent and depth at wide receiver after they lost top target Jayce Brown last month. Williams will have an opportunity to make an early impact. He was a four-star recruit coming out of high school in Tampa.

Jones will transfer to K-State after a short time at Missouri.

The 6-foot-4 and 333-pound offensive lineman was one of the top in-state recruits of 2025, as the Coffeyville native picked the Tigers over Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Kansas, K-State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, USC and others.

K-State was heavily involved in his original recruitment, and that likely helped the Wildcats this time around.

Jones played in two games as a freshman at Missouri, which allowed him to preserve a redshirt.

Davila is a 6-foot-1 and 165pound senior defensive back who saw action in 12 games as a cornerback with the Razorbacks last season. He finished the year with two tackles and two pass breakups.

He has connection to the K-State coaching staff. The Wildcats hired new defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson from Arkansas last month, and he tutored Avila while they were both with the Razorbacks.

Before that, he was a fourstar prospect in junior college, playing for Northwest Mississippi Community College. While there, he made 23 tackles and three interceptions as a sophomore to go along with 35 tackles and two interceptions as a freshman.

The Wildcats will look to continue adding new transfers as the week goes on. Klein has lined up numerous recruiting visits for the next few days. He has plenty of roster space to fill after the Wildcats lost nearly two dozen transfers following the unexpected retirement of former head coach Chris Klieman. K-State football transfer tracker.
