Chanute Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Amy Jensen accepts a plaque from C. Edward Young, a member of the Kansas Association of Airports that puts on the Fly Kansas Tour, where a cohort of pilots fly their personal planes to multiple stops in Kansas. Chanute was not initially a stop for the tour but was selected at the last minute as a backup. The plaque served as a thank-you to the local partners and volunteers who made the stop possible in less than two weeks. Young called it one of the most memorable stops on the tour.
