The Leamona FCE met on January 8th to celebrate with their Christmas exchange. Jackie Ward served coffee and chocolate pie.
Janis Reinhardt, president, conducted the meeting. Roll call was answered what, when and how you had the first broken bone. It was interesting to find only one member had a broken bone and recently by stepping off the curb. We discussed some places to store the Christmas tree, and Jackie could keep it in her garage until a transfer to Debbie’s storage shed.
We voted to donate next December again to the Helping Hands Program.
We all signed up for lessons for 2026. “The Facts About Dates on Food Products” by Mary Dunn, and this was chosen to do a poster about; “Pumpkins? Yes, Please!!” by Janis Reinhardt and other members who would like to add something; “Character Counts! “Respect” by Debbie Goodner; “Know When the Game is Playing You” by Sharon Carpenter; “The Wellness of Kindness or the Kindness Effect” by Jackie Ward; “Good Gut Health” by Debbie Goodner; and the last lesson, “Growing Through Stories: Early Literacy and Milestones” by Mary Jane Burghart.
The next get-together will be on January 15th at 11:30 at the “Turn at Stone Creek”. The next regular meeting will be on February 5th at 1:00 pm. If anyone is interested in FCE, they can call Sharon Carpenter at 620-431-8532.
