Cox Communications today announced its Kansas employees will award more than $68,000 to 36 Kansas educators through its unique employee-funded Cox Charities Education Grant program. More than 100 applications were received through the Cox Charities website this year from school administrators, teachers, teaching assistants and media specialists (Pre-K through 12th grades) from across the state.
The education grants support technology and programs that promote and enhance students’ academic success and educational experience. The $68,000 in Cox Communications Education Grants to be awarded for the 2025-26 school year are in addition to $150,000 in Cox Charities Investment grants awarded to 26 Kansas nonprofits in August.
Below is a list of Southeast Kansas awardees: — Roosevelt Middle School in Coffeyville for the Take What You Need cabinet and clothing closet.
— Community Elementary School in Coffeyville for the Bridging the Gap Student Support Program.
— Iola Elementary School in Iola for STEAM Room Labs for fifth grade students.
— Mulvane Middle School in Mulvane for stable seating for eighth graders.
— Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg for the Consumer Math Small Business Project.
— Yates Center Elementary School in Yates Center for Classroom Interactive Panels.
