CHANUTE — Joan M. McCoy (Howard) was born August 6, 1950, to Porter McCoy and Velma Moore. She passed away Feb. 28, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 75.
She was a lifelong resident of Chanute and a 1968 graduate of Chanute High School.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother James”Gus” McCoy.
She is survived by Daughter Tammy Gallison, her granddaughter, Whitley Ann Chappell, three great-grandchildren, Jaedyn Chappell, Autumn Chappell and Stormie Chappell, her brother Jon McCoy of Erie, and her niece Dena McCoy of Erie.
