The annual Festival of Trees at the Chanute Art Gallery opens today, Nov. 19, and will continue through Dec. 24.
Nineteen trees have been assembled to create a whimsical, traditional, faithful display of Christmas trees. Various organizations and individuals have shared their creativity with the individual decorated Christmas trees.
A public reception will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 8. The Gallery is open at 17 N. Lincoln from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. There is no admission charge.
