Halsey criticised the company for the lack of inclusivity in regards to transgender models and plus-size women. Halsey slammed Victoria’s Secret’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ed Razek after he explained in an interview that he would never cast a plus-sized or transgender model for the show calling it a fantasy. Taking to Instagram, Halsey wrote: " have adored the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show since I was young. Performing this year alongside other amazing artists, and hardworking models/ friends was supposed to be the best night of my year. “However, after I filmed the performance, some comments were made regarding the show that I simply cannot ignore. “As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have no tolerance for lack of inclusivity. He became globally famous aged 12 when he landed the role as Harry Potter in the wizarding franchise. He said: "While Jo is unquestionably responsible for the course my life has taken, as someone who has been honoured to work with and continues to contribute to The Trevor Project for the last decade, and just as a human being, I feel compelled to say something at this moment. “Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I."
