Saturday storm

A maple was uprooted in the yard of Gary and Melissa Wikel, 1225 W. Sycamore. The tree fell away from the house onto an outbuilding. 

Saturday morning thunderstorms brought high winds and heavy rain with northwest winds of 29 miles per hour, gusting to 39 mph, becoming northeast winds of 20 mph gusting to 37. The Martin Johnson Airport recorded 0.88 inch of rain in the first hour, with 1.01 inch by 2 pm Saturday.
