Donald Lewis Schooley, 85, formerly of Chanute, KS, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 in Overland Park, KS. Don was born on October 31, 1934, the son of Noel and Ina (Dodson) Schooley.
Don was united in marriage on April 19, 1963 to Oleta Kay Hazen in Erie, KS. He worked as a Welder for Young’s Welding for many years. Don was a quiet man, but always made sure his family was well taken care of. He was also a hard worker, no matter what he was doing. Don was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Chanute, KS.

Sons: Derrell Schooley of Topeka, KS, David Schooley and wife, Cynthia, of Olathe, KS; 2 Grandchildren: Aaron Schooley and Tyler Schooley of Olathe, KS; Brother: Howard Schooley of Neenah, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Oleta; parents, Noel and Ina and a brother, James Schooley.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 11:30 am – 1 pm at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland in Chanute, KS.
