Anna M. Wilson, 90, passed away December 29, 2019. Anna was born November 1, 1929 in Chanute, KS to George and Golda Burghart. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1947.
Anna married Charles L. Wilson October 3, 1952 and moved to Wichita, where they lived 40 years. Anna was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion Auxiliary. Anna and Charles returned to Chanute in 1992. She and Charlie were active members of the First Christian Church in Chanute. Anna and Charlie enjoyed many years, dancing, bowling and camping.
Ann is survived by her husband Charlie of 67 years; two sons, Steve and wife, Jackie, of the Dallas area, and Scott and wife, Susie, of Andover, Kansas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Garold Burghart and wife, Mary Jane, of Chanute.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; a son Roderick; four sisters: Mary Nystrom, Pauline Siler, Betty Bright and Doreen Crater, and two brothers, Ralph Burghart and Wayne Burghart.
The family will greet friends and family on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 5-7 pm at Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel in Chanute, Kansas. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10 am at the First Christian Church in Chanute, KS. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute.
